素质教育是一种依据人的发展和社会发展的实际需要，以全面提高人的基本素质为根本
目的，以尊重人的主体性和能动性、注重开发智慧潜能、形成健全个性为根本特征的教育。
高素质的幼儿要靠高素质的教师来培养。没有教师的高素质就没有教育的高质量，也就
没有幼儿的良好素质。幼儿园要实施素质教育，首先必须提高幼儿园教育者自身的素质。
幼儿教师的职业道德对教师素质的提高至关重要。幼儿各种素质的形成是一个复杂的过
程，成人的言行对幼儿的影响常常比课堂教育的作用更大，幼儿教师对幼儿来说是具有权威性的成人，他们的举止对幼儿的影响是潜移默化的，因此幼儿教师的身教重于言教。他们对待工作，对待同事、家长及幼儿所体现出来的良好的道德修养，将会在思想品德素质方面对孩子产生积极的影响。所以，幼儿教师要拥有良好的职业道德，严于律己，为人师表。
幼儿教师除具有良好的职业道德外，还需要更新教育观念。幼儿教师需要具备以下教育
观念：了解幼儿，注重幼儿德、智、体、美诸方面全面和谐发展；信任幼儿，充分发挥幼儿的主体性；要注意让幼儿乐于学习，主动学习；关心幼儿，让每一个幼儿的身心都获得最大程度的发展；鼓励幼儿，激发幼儿的创造性，即提高幼儿分析问题、解决问题、创造性地表达自己观点的能力。
幼儿教师同样需要扩充自身的文化知识，提高职业技能。幼儿教师应不断地学习提高，尤
其应在专业理论知识的深化、自然科学知识的了解、艺术修养的加强、写作与电化教育能力的提高等方面多下工夫。教师只有不断地充实自己、完善自己，才能不断地提高自身的素质。
另外，幼儿园教师的身心是否健康不仅关系到能否顺利地完成本职工作，而且会对幼儿的
身心发展造成影响。只有身心健康的教师才能培养出身心健康的幼儿。
素质教育对幼儿教师的素质要求是极高的，但素质具有非均衡发展的特点，因此要求每一
位幼儿园教师都具有高素质是不现实的，但这并不妨碍我们对理想幼儿教师素质的研究和
