(2)从学习内容看,历史上的“研究性学习”大多局限于某一方面内容，比如，布鲁纳、施瓦布、费尼 克斯等人所倡导的“发现学习”“探究学习”，其内容是“学科结构”，而且主要是理科的学科结构，这 未免狭隘而且脱离学生生活实际;我们今天倡导的“研究性学习”主张从学生的自身生活和社会生 活中选择问题,其内容面向学生的整个生活世界与科学世界，而不把学科知识、学科结构强化为核 心内容。
(3)从学习理念看，历史上“研究性学习”的倡导者大多数认为存在一个普遍的、适用于所有学生的 “研究性学习”模式，只要找到了这个模式的共同要素,严格遵循这个模式，即可培养出“研究性学习 能力”；我们今天倡导的“研究性学习”秉持迥然不同的理念,认为每一个人的学习方式都是其独特 个性的体现，每一个人都有自己的“研究性学习方式”，课程应遵循每一个人的学习方式的独特性。
