(2)综合课程是一种多学科的课程组织模式，它强调学科之间的内在联系，强调不同学科的相互整合。但从学科本身的发展来看，分科课程与综合课程两种课程组织形式各有其存在价值，因为学科的发展呈现分化和综合并驾齐驱的趋势。
一般来说，综合课程与分科课程在学校课程结构中所占的比重随着学校教育层次的变化而变化，在低年级的课程结构中，综合课程所占比重应明显超过分科课程，随着年级的增高，综合课程在课程结构中所占比重逐渐降低，而分科课程所占比重则逐渐提高，并最后超出综合课程。
(3)我国当前的基础教育课程改革具有以下特点：
第一，在课程目标上，强调知识与技能、过程与方法以及情感态度与价值观三个方面的整合，摒弃了以往分科课程片面强调知识与技能的倾向，从而使分科课程的目标也实现了由知识本位向学生发展本位的转向。这是课程目标和教育价值观的重大改变。
第二，在课程内容的选择和组织上，注重体现基础性、实用性和综合性。各学科都力求精选终身学习必备的最基础的知识和最基本的技能作为课程主干内容，各学科在保留传统课程内容中仍有价值的基础知识的同时，特别强调从当代科学的最新成果中吸取新的基础知识，剔除陈旧过时的知识；各学科都注重与社会生活的联系。
第三，按照综合课程与分科课程在学校课程结构中所占的比重随学校层次的变化而变化，确定好两者的比例。
