设计任务：请阅读下面学生信息和语言素材，设计一节英语阅读课的教学方案。教案没有固定格式，但必须包含下列要点：

教学时间：45分钟
学生概况：某城镇普通中学八年级（初中二年级）学生，班级人数40人。多数已经达到《义务教育英语课程标准（2011年版）》三级水平。学生课堂参与积极性一般。

Teaching contents：This lesson focuses on reading a passage Journey to the West and completing the reading tasks．
Teaching objectives：
（1）Knowledge objectives
Master the words：object，magic，stick，hide，tail，turn…into，excite，western．
Read the passage and get specific informations to complete the reading tasks．
（2）Ability objectives
Through completing the tasks，students develop reading skills．
After reading，students know the general information about the monkey in the book Journey to the West．
（3）Emotion objectives
Students read more traditional Chinese literature．and experience the Chinese traditional culture．
Teaching key points：
Students master the new words and phrases in the reading passage and complete the reading tasks correctly．
Teaching difficult points：
Students understand and use the new words and phrases properly．
Teaching procedures：
Step 1 Warming—up（5 minutes）
Look at the pictures and answer the questions．
①Who are they?
②In which book are they the main characters?
③Which character do you like best?
Keys：①They’re Zhu Bajie，Sun Wukong，Sha Heshang and Tang Seng．
②Journey to the West．
③I like Monkey King best．
（Justification：Because Journey to the West is a well-known legend to students and almost all of them have saw the TV series about it，it is easy for them to answer the questions．）
Step 2 Reading（30 minutes）
Task 1 Work on 3a（10 minutes）
Students read the article in 3 a quickly and try to find the answers to the questions：①Which book is talked about?
②Who is the main character?
③What is he like?
The teacher guides students to read the passage with the questions and encourages them to answer the questions as soon as possible．

③He is not just any normal monkey．In fact，he sometimes does not even look like a monkey!
Task 2 Work on 3bf lo minutes）
Students read the passage again and underline the required informations to fill in the form in 3b．

What he can do：①He can make his magic stick small or large；②He can make 72 changes to his shape and size，turning himself into different animals and objects．
What he can't do：Unless he Can hide his tail，he can't turn himself into a person．
Task 3 Work on 3c（10 minutes）
Students underline the new words and phrases of the passage and complete the sentences．
